The Dietrich School Electronics Shop provides high-quality design, fabrication, and repair of electronic equipment and instrumentation to support researchers primarily within the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. The E-Shop can provide services for all other University of Pittsburgh labs on a "non-priority" basis.
The shop offers the following services:
- Design and construction of circuit boards, controllers, and interfaces
- Maintenance and repair of a wide variety of equipment, including hotplates, water baths, centrifuges, chillers and vacuum pumps (not refrigerators or freezers).
- Limited on-hand inventory of electrical/electronic parts for expedited repair of the most common lab equipment.
The shop operates out of two locations, the main shop in Eberly Hall and a satellite location in Crawford Hall serving the Neuroscience and Biological Science departments.
