The Materials Characterization Laboratory (MCL), housed in the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Chemistry, provides researchers with access to a broad range of instrumentation for the production and analysis of complex materials, including nanoparticles, thin films, polymers, ceramics, and molecular electronics. The lab also oversees the Department's Biological Instrumentation Cluster, which provides access to specialized equipment used in molecular biology and biological chemistry.
MCL facilities are located in Eberly Hall rooms 135, 136, 139, and 141 and in the Chevron Science Center rooms 311, 1118, and 1118A.
