About

Located in the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine resesarch building at the University of Pittsburgh, the Advanced Imaging Center is a high-field preclinical and molecular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (MRS) facility that houses two high field scanners, a Bruker Biospec 9.4 Tesla 30 cm scanner and a Bruker 11.7 Tesla microimaging system. These scanners are equipped with state-of-the-art multi-channel RF coils, allowing high-resolution in vivo rodent imaging for application in life science, biomedical and preclinical research. The facility has a surgical suite available to perform preparation procedures for the in vivo imaging studies. The facility provides expert faculty and comprehensive imaging support services for investigators from the University of Pittsburgh and other Institutions.
