The Pitt CryoEM Center is directed by James Conway, a Professor in the School of Medicine’s Department of Structural Biology. James has been in the Department since it’s inception in 2005 and designed the cryoEM facility. His research is primarily on the structure of viruses, such as herpesvirus and tailed bacteriophages, but has collaborated with many of the CryoEM Center’s users.
