Acknowledgment format

Proper acknowledgment of the shared core facilities is required by US funding agencies and enables tracking of the impact of our shared core facilities and can lead to additional funding for new equipment.

Thus, core facilities from the University of Pittsburgh should also be acknowledged with their respective RRID number.  

Here is a template that new shared cores should use:

Authorship

If core personnel provide significant intellectual input to the results submitted for publication, then it is reasonable and appropriate to include them as co-authors. Since circumstances vary greatly, the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities provides excellent and detailed recommended guidelines.
