The SonoVol Vega 4D Robotic Ultrasound System offers an integrated system design that incorporates the ultrasound components, image guidance, and computer controls for fully automated whole-body 4D high-resolution mouse imaging in minutes. The automatic analysis software then can allow users to prescribe viewing angles to get functional data in any orientation. The instrument features two transducers: the up to 40 MHz wobbler for highest resolution and acoustic angiography (AA) imaging, and the up to 24 MHz linear array for deep tissue, cardiac and SWE imaging. The imaging area consists of 3 imaging bays (6 x 3 in) where mice can be imaged sequentially in rapid succession to allow for high throughput. The size of the imaging bays allows for full-body imaging of a mouse or small rat.The cardio package provides for both live as well as retrospective M-mode 360 analysis via the 4D heart scan feature. The automated AI heart finder and auto M-mode analysis further facilitate high throughput Left Ventricle functional analysis with readouts of volume, EF, FS and wall thickness. The Acoustic Angiography package provides quantitative measurement of vascular density and morphology and can resolve blood vessels down to 100 µm.
