Differential Scanning Calorimeter

The Perkin Elmer Pyris 6 DSC is used to measure the thermodynamic parameters associated with phase transitions including melting, crystalliation, and glass transitions. It is typically cooled via a circulating cryobath but can also be cooled using a liquid nitrogen cryojet. This instrument is intended for polymers and ionic liquids and is not intended for high melting alloys.
