The Agilent 1100 HPLC system consists of a quarternary pump (up to four solvents), column oven and diode array detector (DAD, 200-900nm) and/or evaporative light scattering detector (ELSD). The instrument is typically equipped with a reverse phase C18 column but can also be used for aqueous size exclusion chromatography using differential refractive index detection (RID). The instrument is controlled with Agilent Chemstation software.
